The family should be proud of the statement their daughter made towards encouraging road safety, and ashamed of their part in allowing the dumb little slut to smear herself over the road/car/toll. As for the settlement, what did anyone expect? This is a country that allows people to win lawsuits for "engaging cruise control and going into the back of the RV" or "falling over her own unruly child after ignoring staff requests to control the child". Utter wank.  |

You need to get over this "girls shouldn't drive a Porsche / fast car" thing. Many "tiny little cars" these days go much faster than 100 mph, you can dash your brains out just as well in a Mazda Protege. I used to have a newer Porsche 20 years ago and it didn't accelerate as quickly as many budget rental cars I get today, top speed on the Porsche was higher. |

And I suppose a higher mortality rate among men has absolutely nothing to do with their oh-so-sound driving decisions. Sure. Right. Men are actually one and 1/2 times more likely than women to die from accidental deaths. For men up to age 44, accidents are the number one cause of death. Two and 1/2 times more men than women die in motor-vehicle accidents--the leading cause of accidental death. You're entitled to your opinion but these are the facts. |
