This is how tigers (and many other big cats) operate. They go straight for either the throat or the back of the neck, latch on, and hold down until the unfortunate victim suffocates. Dogs, meanwhile, just basically rip you apart until you die.

Indeed, we are fortunate that tigers don't have the cognitive apparatus which would allow them to draw this conclusion themselves. It could get very rough for humans in some parts of the world were that the case.

the tiger killed him like an animal...as opposed to killing him like a tax accountant, which is much more long, boring and involves at least one nap in the middle.
