Re: The Nameless: People Looking To Be Identified
Gatagato left another one of his standard, awesomely informative posts, and he's spot on with it. But I thought I'd mention that there are sometimes cases on the site where there really is fuck all for information. The last picture in the previous NAMus thread I posted was attached as a joke- the case ID picture was a fourteen inch tibia bone, and it was the only picture they had in the file Very few cases even have images of the decedent. There are times grieving relatives confuse similar looking strangers for their loved ones due to the post mortem changes in a corpse. Of the 9905 cases currently active, I've only found a few dozen with head shots. They rely on many other forms of identification, ones that are more accurate, like dental records. |

Re: The Nameless: People Looking To Be Identified
Thanks, sir! I'm all for doing future threads of this nature, but don't expect them to be frequent. :( They just don't post very many files with face shots, so gathering enough material for a good thread can take a long time. But I do visit the site regularly, and collect material whenever it's available |
