Re: motorcycle crash at 174 mph

I've always had a warm place in my heart (and between my legs) for hot guy with a fast bike.

Re: motorcycle crash at 174 mph

Oh, thank god for the racing suit, it could have been so much worse!!
i was thinking that and also the helmet helped

lol

but really i saw the comment about how the helmet had no damage and it is possible along with the extra boots that he had this stuff clipped on to a pack or on the bike - he has to know the helmet couldnt help in a wreck at that speed

Helmets don't always help anyway - my brother died in a motorcycle accident only doing 30mph. His head hit the median strip and he broke his neck. His friend on the back - sprained ankle. go figure
My mode of transportation has an airbag.

Re: motorcycle crash at 174 mph

i'm terribly sorry to hear about your brother and i pass my condolences to you, but it's all in the way you crash. i hate to say, but it's true.. you can fall at 200mph and be fine... get up, walk away. i've SEEN it with land speed racing. had a friend crash her turbo busa at loring maine a few months back.. near 200 at that in the shutdown.. shes perfectly fine. and yet, i've seen people get BADLY hurt and killed at less than 40mph.

Re: motorcycle crash at 174 mph

I don't understand the point making these death machines go so fast... when you buy the bike do you sign a wavier saying... yes I'm sane and will drive the speed limit... I've NEVER seen anyone on a crotch rocket that didn't blow the doors off of my car... but you got to love the Harley guys they just roll out mellow and chill

Re: motorcycle crash at 174 mph

I’m a biker myself … and believe me there isn’t a lot of things that beat traveling at an easy 100/120, just you and your bike and the road … pity should a curb, tree, another motorist, dog, you name it, decide to cross your path …

Four wheels move the body … whereas two wheels move the soul …

wow man sorry about your brother
and often the weight of the helmet can cause a separation of the spine from the head
i watched a show about how that can happen to race car drivers so they had to change the design of the helmets
