I'm kinda surprised that charred guy has maggots on his face...I figured that anything that maggots would want to feed on would have been incinerated away.

Plenty of tissue left on this case, photos probably don't suggest that, second to last photo you can see a bit more. It seems fairly rare to have remains that are completely incinerated, there usually seems to be a degree of tissue/viscera left. unless of course they have just been cremated :)

The cranial reconstruction is absolutely fascinating to me, is there anything more you can say about what happened and how you finished putting the skull back together? Your pictures are amazing!
