Depends on what's happening with the deceased, in this case no viewing, family had requested a cremation straight away with a memorial service later on, so no worries. When you have to manage things more carefully is when the person may be going home for a few days or the date of the funeral is still a number of days away. They can be a real pain the arse, preferably have the body well embalmed, all orifices thoroughly cleaned out, and packed with cotton wool or the like soaked in a specialist fluid like Champions Omega decomp. Its unlikely you'll get them all but you can at least keep them at bay for reasonable periods. Just keep monitoring what's happening, then cleaning, repacking as need be. Trouble is with maggots if you see 1 or 2 it generally means there are many many more.
