Yikes.....I was in a similar situation a few years ago. Nice to see how I would have wound up had I not picked up a weak signal on my cell after being stuck for about nine hours.

Very interesting. Sad...but...interesting. I would think anyone who is going to be driving through a desert has spare gas, water, clothes, food, maps.
