Michael and Fraldine Kate Canes Shot Dead by Gunmen in Mandaue City, Cebu, 2019
At about 11 p.m. on April 14, 2019, Michael Canes, 27, and Fraldine Kate Canes, 24, were travelling by motorcycle with their young daughter when gunmen on another motorcycle shot them at the intersection of A.C. Cortes Avenue and S.B. Cabahug Street in Barangay Ibabao, Mandaue City, Cebu, in the Philippines. Both were killed at the scene, and one of the attackers seized the wife's sling bag. Their daughter survived and was taken into the care of social workers. The Barangay Umapad couple operated a ready-to-wear clothing business and had spent that evening delivering stock to the North Bus Terminal. Police considered robbery and a drug link, saying the two were listed on a local drug watchlist and allegedly connected to Jocelyn Encila, a Cebu drug suspect arrested the previous month. A source close to the family denied drug involvement and described them as ordinary business people. No arrests were made, and the motive was never established.  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  · |

At around 11pm on 14th April 2019 in Mandaue City (Philipines), 24 year old F.K.R.C. + her husband, 27 year old M.C., were shot dead whilst riding their motorbike. The gunmen were also on a motorbike. The couple's 8 year old daughter survived the attack. Apparently, their deaths were linked to drugs (Cebu's 'Shabu Queen' Joy Encila). The couple are said to have been known as "Boss" + "Madam" within the group. The couple had a bag with them containing money.

I was feeling sorry for them and, of course, their young daughter. But if they were actually drug dealers... Still feel sorry for the kid though... |

His wife was pretty. They looked like a fun, life loving couple. A shame they died. Probably better they died together so one of them wouldn't have to live with the pain of the loss. Oh and I love Filipino women.
