Body of Missing 16 Year Old Girl Found
On the night of 20th October 2018 in Mogi das Cruzes , 16 year old R.P.A. went to a party with 2 of her friends. 'R' told her friends that she would be leaving the party early + that her father would come to pick her up (though that was a lie). Her parents did not receive a phone call from her + they became worried. They tried to get in contact with her but were unable to. On the 22nd, 'R's parents put up missing posters. They stated that 'R' was always good with telling them were she was + who with, so this behaviour was unlike her. 'R's mobile phone was found near a lake by the police. The surrounding area was searched but no trace of the girl was found. Sniffer dogs were sent out to try + find the girl. No place seemed to go without being searched; farms, ponds, forests + abandoned houses. On the 28th, in the forest area of Avenida Francisco Lerário, the police located a decomposing body. A cousin of 'R's, who was at the scene, stated that the clothing on the corpse belonged to 'R'. It was soon confirmed that the body is 'R'.      *UPDATE* In Guararema last night (30th October), 28 year old M.F.D.S. was arrested for the murder of 'R'. He confessed to the murder. 'M' claims that he found 'R' staggering around at the bus station, where he works as a security guard. When she sat down on a bench, 'M' offered her a lift + asked if she was ok. He says that he offered her some water + his jacket but she declined. Police state that 'M' raped 'R' but he claims that it was consensual intercourse. 'M' says that after they had sex (or she was raped), the girl said "look what you did to me, you raped me! My father is a police officer, he's going to kill you." 'M' says 'R' then kicked him + he retaliated with a blow to her neck (apparently he's been a martial arts fighter for over 12 years) + she passed out. Police believe that the rape took place in Jacareí where her mobile phone was found near a lake. 'M' states that he took 'R' to the forest area (where her body was found) + checked her pulse to see if she was still alive, she was. Fearing that she would report that he raped her, he took 'R's boot that was on the floor of his car + took the shoelace out. 'M' then wrapped the shoelace round her neck + suffocated her. 'M' then returned to work as normal.
