Mexico - Obese Tattooed Man in the Morgue
This set was allegedly sent to the friend of someone who works at the morgue that the photos were taken at.

Re: Mexico - Obese Tattooed Man in the Morgue
One time we had to embalm a 550lb 80 year old man. I didn't know morbidly obese people could live to reach that age until then. Glad they have a lift, a bit ghetto but it got the job done.

Jesus, that's nearly 40st! The man had probably spent his last few years piling on the weight, as like you said, people that size don't tend to reach such an age.

Re: Mexico - Obese Tattooed Man in the Morgue
I was in school working at a morgue, so we didn't get to know the family or anything. I did know he was a long time truck driver. Maybe unloading all his loads kept his heart strong enough. Or shoveled himself to his death. Either way, I wish people wouldn't do this to themselves or others. It's hard on everyone, family has to buy a more expensive casket or pay overweight cremation charges. Funeral home workers are left scratching their heads on how to safely get him back and embalmed. The fact that he was an autopsy made this case that much harder. It's tough to suture all that back up, as you see the tension. That embalmer may have gotten blister burn from how tight the suture is. |
