Well what you are saying is only theoretical, I need to see pictures of the casings on the ground. Regardless that is actually incorrect because a .22 is NOT a centerfire munition they (.22) are rimfire that is what makes the "technical" difference between the two (a .223 & a .22 even if its a .22 magnum which is used for hunting varmint. lol keep this in mind) and a well I highly do not believe that just because the report did not say .22lr that it means that it's a 5.56 by "default". And to finish this off NO it does not mean a .22lr is the same as a .223 (These two cartridges serve very different purposes!) Case closed.
