I think it's something to do with the oxygen in it, though I'm not sure entirely how that works. Possibly with the timing of when it came out? Breathing vs. not breathing?

I read that. That he said he shot himself through the mouth and out the neck. Obviously not. If the head is saying that then maybe he is involved or knows more.

I think contact entry wounds tend to split the skin in a star like pattern. And char it somewhat.

Pretty much certain this is a murder. Back of head is entry, and if he shot himself in the back of the head with a rifle it'd have to be right against his head which would look much different. Also, who the fuck shoots themselves through the back of their head with a rifle? Doesn't make any sense.

I think a contributing factor in head wounds is the cerebral-spinal fluid that also leaks out with the blood. Just a guess.  |

Agreed. Most handguns to the skull aren't powerful enough for an exit wound, rifles are. And the exit wound is generally bigger than the entry wound.
