I think that sex between super old people is kinda gross, and that ANY sex at all with someone with an IQ under 80 is morally problematic, but that’s just my personal opinion, and society errors on the side of liberty for good reason.

For a woman, advocating for the age of consent to be as high as possible for women (though not for men) serves to buoy their own sexual market value (but I’m sure that has nothing at all to do with why you’re so opinionated about this.)

The logic is simple, older you are the more experience and wisdom you have, also the amount of resources at your disposal is vastly greater than when you are younger. Therefor you are far more capable of manipulating and taking advantage of a much younger person.

I am nearly 40 years old, I can confidently say I can manipulate the shit out of the 16 year old me. Same when it comes to dealing with women. The 40-year-old me would not need to plan elaborate ways to ask a girl may or may not be named Nataly to homecoming dance and ending up getting rejected. The 40-year-old me would just say “Fuck you Nataly” drop $20k and have 2 girls flown in for the weekend and just have a baller time at the homecoming.

Went off on a tangent there, Kinalace is saying older, more experienced, and better resourced individuals have much more advantage than the young, poor, and inexperienced. Which is very solid logic.

This is the same rationale why i think having sex with a stupid person can morally questionable. Then again women tend to be more socially advanced than men for their age, young women tend toward valuing things in men that (to a certain point) often increase with age (like status, wealth, the security they can provide) whereas men tend to value the markers of biological fertility in women (i.e. youth and beauty.) When you add onto this the fact that one man may be psychosocially behind the curve, and the woman far ahead of it, it makes it difficult to make blanket moral judgments after all participants are of the legal age of consent.

I mean when it gets right down to it biologically reproduction is always costlier to the woman than the man, so by that standard men should never be allowed to ‘victimize’ a woman by having sex with her (and every one of us who tries is ‘disgusting’ for doing so.)

or it comes down to each individual on what they want. is it wrong a poor young woman takes a short cut to riches unavailable to her by spreading her legs? is it wrong for an older man to bail a teenage girl out of private lenders but require her to sleep with him? is it wrong to just do whatever you want within the powers you are given?

in the end, you live your life and that's it. you deal with the consequences so you also reap the rewards.
