A 43-year-old Bunong man on Saturday killed his wife using a knife and then committed suicide in Mondulkiri province.

Police identified the man as Ngoeum Rim and the victim as Kleuy Soke, 40.

Police said the couple lived in Sen Monorom commune, where they were farmers and had 3 children.

The murder-suicide took place on Saturday around 9am near their home. On the day of murder, the wife was collecting tree leaves to make soup.
