You people are putting way to much emphasis on it being a Ferrari, and therefore he must have been flying. Granted he probably was, but from the hood I'd say its an old 348. That makes it more than 20 years old. It also has less power than a new v6 Mustang, so lets not immediately chalk it up to "not being able to handle a fast car".
