The airbag deployed just fine. It's hanging off the center of the steering wheel. They don't stay inflated for more than a couple of seconds.

Click on the lower picture. He still has the shoulder strap on.

There's a patch with what looks like a number at the bottom on the shirt front. An off duty cop shot, which caused the wreck?

I don't think there is enough blood to have bled to death. I thought shot at first too but there is nothing that shows that.

Notice where the major impact came from.
That could have easily broke and cut his neck if the bag had already deployed. There is other damage to the front of the car. The bag could have set off prior to the major impact. Just my guess without proper info. But Nyckname's point of the bag positions does help prove my point. But all we're doing is pulling
our wicks unless the investigation is done professionally.

look at the car! what major impact? the car is not messed up that bad at all, this is foul play. probably was shot or stabbed and drove till he lost consciousness

Yeah, that car isn't messed up too bad...It looks like he broke his neck on the seatbelt. Maybe he was wearing it too high instead of over the chest where it's supposed to be.
