Man Hanged from Bridge in Trieste (Italy)

My opinion..Probably mafia

From local news article:

The body shows various traumas and evident signs of torture. The body was found by pure chance by some workers appointed by Anas who were starting maintenance work

TRIESTE. The body of a man was found on the morning of Sunday 24 September along the main Trieste road. The man is tied and blindfolded, has various traumas on his body and visible signs of torture. The police are on site.

The body was found hanging from the guardrail, shortly after the Valmaura tunnel, in the direction of Muggia: it was suspended outside the road, in an area of vegetation, barely visible to those passing by by car.

The man found dead is believed to be a homeless man of Iranian origin. The investigations into the identity of the body are going in this direction: however, there is no certainty at the moment and no official information from the judiciary.

The discovery
The body was found by pure chance by some workers appointed by Anas who were starting maintenance work on site.

The man is between approximately 40 and 50 years old. He has obvious signs of torture, such as circular burns on the skullcap, beatings, cuts and swelling. The police, however, in a note denied "the presence of obvious signs of torture".

The man was found with his neck hanging from the guardrail by a noose and his feet tied with tape. He is dressed in a black T-shirt, shirt and khaki pants.

Whoever hung the body secured the lace with other buckles and laces on the guardrail. There is also some tape nearby, probably the one used to immobilize the feet.

The body has no signs of putrefaction, but would show signs of saponification, an element which suggests that it had been in the place where it was found for at least a few days. This is what can be gleaned from an initial cadaveric inspection. The victim is not black although, upon initial examination, it cannot be ruled out that he may be dark-skinned. However, it has not yet been possible to understand whether he is an Italian or foreign citizen.

Some papers with writings in Italian and an "Asian" language were found in the body's pockets. Not real documents, but rather "sheets". The identity is not yet known. An autopsy will be arranged.

Warning hypothesis
The crime scene, the way the body was positioned, suggests a murder with a clear message directed to others. Like a warning.

In fact, whoever committed the murder could have thrown the body into the embankment below. Instead it was hung, to be seen.

Body fat converting to a hard lard like substance. Only happens in anaerobic environments like underwater over a long period of time. So I don't see how this applies to this body suspended in the air.

Soap was made by the same process of converting animal fats into soap and where the process got its name.

Saponification is an event that occurs after death in which a body undergoes chemical changes that transform body fat into a substance called adipocere. Adipocere is a byproduct of decomposition. It is an organic material, with the consistency of semi-hard cheese and a soapy, waxy texture. It develops when body fat is exposed to anaerobic bacteria in a warm, damp, alkaline environment, such as a forest or jungle, either in soil or water. A body suspended over large tree canopies with humid conditions in the sun would be a prime candidate for accelerated decomposition.

Many thanks for the explanation!!
This is an interesting case. Hanged from that bridge shouldn't help with that process since it was hot, dry, and had good air circulation. But I don't know about the trees though. Still, a weird body placement if they want to set a warning because it's barely visible.
