PHILIPPINES - On September 23, 2021, an unidentified man was found shot to death while handcuffed on the roadside at Sitio San Isidro, Purok 4, Barangay Buenvaista, Pio Duran, Albay. He was said to be in his 30's.

Handcuffed man riddled with bullet to the head and back, found dead in Albay

A man who was found dead on the roadside at Sitio San Isidro, Barangay Buenavista at around 7:00 P.M. last night [September 23, 2021] is now at a funeral home in the municipality of Pio Duran in Albay.

The man was prone, handcuffed and riddled with bullets to the head and back.

According to PMAJ Karlo Pontigon Dy, Chief of Pio Duran Municipal Police Station, the victim was possibly shot there because a series of gunshots were heard several minutes before the victim was found dead.

"There is a house which is about 50 meters away from the crime scene, and a kid who head a series of gunshots and then reported to the father. From there, they found a victim and then reported to us the incident." PMAJ Dy said.

9mm slugs and .45 caliber pistol were recovered by police at the place of incident.

The investigation regarding the motive and the perpetrators behind the shooting are still ongoing.

The victim's identity with tattoos on different parts of the body such as BCJ or Batang City Jail (City Jail Youth) is also being investigated by police.

The circle & rock are probably just markers for the bullet casing.
