Re: Man Found Dead After 8 Years
The date on the bottles was the date of manufacture and one of the bottles was in his hand (or very close to it). This is where the guy was living after his wife left with the kids. So with the date on the bottles, how long since anyone had seen him and the condition of his corpse led them to his estimated year of death (give or take a few years). That he was murdered, they are sure: he had a belt tied around his neck. |

Re: Man Found Dead After 8 Years
Those are old fly larvae pupal shells left behind as the larvae emerged as young flies when their final stage of metamorphosis was completed. Those shells will date back to when the man died, and then maybe a few weeks or a month - depending on when his body began to mummify. |

Re: Man Found Dead After 8 Years
I am a 26 year career mortician and from experience this man hasn't been dead 8 years. 8 years and all that insect exposure he would be completely skeletonized at 8 years
