I would love more info on this. How long did he live after he fell in? How did he fall in? Why was there not a guard in place?

Actually, he likely would have died the moment they got him out of there. The pressure of the gears would have kept him from bleeding out; take that away, he starts leaking, and it all goes pear-shaped from there.

Ohhhh how awful. Kind of like people who get run over by a train or bus and even though they are cut in half they stay alive until the vehicle moves off of them. How sad. I wonder if his family got to say goodbye.

If you look carefully Favabeans, I think you'll see it's a tape measure... someones measuring the distance between his head and the edge of the grinder

Could be wrong though...
