Man Accuses Wife of Infidelity + Kills Her
In Jaicós, at around 10.30am on 2nd September 2011, 54 year old Raimundo Pereira da Silva, killed his 45 year old wife, Eliana Francisca de Jesus, in their house. Police arrived at around 4.40pm + found Eliana dead, face down on a bed. When they turned her over, they found that she had a piece of wood in her hand, which she had probably used to defend herself. According to Raimundo, Eliana had come home drunk about half an hour before the murder. They began to row + Raimundo accused Eliana of infidelity. In a rage, she was murdered. According to neighbours, the couple who had been together for more than 20 years, frequently had rows.               |
