Local Girl Group's Music Career Cut Short; Mob Riots
Two aspiring local musicians were en route to a gig last evening and had chosen to ride double on a motorbike. Unfortunately for these local pop stars, a pickup truck full of farmers had broken down in the highway and failed to engage its hazards. The two girls didn't see the truck on the unlit road until it was too late and they rear ended it going full speed. Both were dead at the scene, as evidenced in the photos. The article was unclear how tales of their demise spread so quickly, but it seems that the young ladies had something of a local fan club in the area. As soon as word of their death (and the circumstances behind it) reached the nearby venue whereat they were due, the crowd surged out onto the highway with molotovs and torches and fireballed the ailing pickup truck out of spiteful rage. All occupants of the truck were injured, either by the accident or the mob, but none died. It seems that Brazilians take their musical acts, as they do everything else, with deadly seriousness. Jesus Christ, can anyone in that entire country hold their temper? |
