Re: Korean School Girls Crushed by Tank
I worked with a guy who's commanding officer got killed by a tank in Germany. It was an accident and he was a commander in the Armoured corps. Even the guys that worked with the tanks had accidents. Tanks are nearly blind. The tank surely did not sneak up on them, they make a huge racket. You can hear them moving a mile away. I don't know just how these girls got caught. I don't see any headphones or earbuds.

Re: Korean School Girls Crushed by Tank
Not sure of the entire story but believe they were caught between the hillside and vehicle, possibly fell into the road wheels but not actually under the track. Additionally, the 60 series is VERY loud and tracks make a ton of noise even with the rubber pads. I'm certain they heard the AVLB coming but didn't get far enough off the road or were hemmed in by the terrain. The driver most certainly saw them but as he passed they simply disappeared below the front fender, viz to the sides of the any 60 series was very limited (from the drivers position). A tragic incident regardless... It's sad that the driver didn't see the ground guides or pause until the girls were visually well clear.
