I dont know if it is fake or not. but remember those cattle mutilation cases, or the alleged chupacabra? they all claimed that scavengers or predatory animals could make wounds with almost surgical appearing edges; partially due to insect activity afterwards. Just a thought.

I once saw similar pictures from some police files. What I was told was that the victim had couple of cats, and when he died in his apartment for few days cats were licking his face and hands and removed skin totally.
