Jose Victor Villarreal, Brother of Alicia Villarreal, Killed in 2009 Crash
Jose Victor Villarreal Esparza, 36, brother of the Mexican singer Alicia Villarreal, died in the early morning of Saturday October 10, 2009 when the red Chevrolet Corvette he was driving left the lateral road of Avenida Paseo de los Leones in Monterrey, went airborne and overturned. Press reports at the time attributed the crash to excessive speed; in 2022 Alicia said her brother had a heart condition and suffered a heart attack at the wheel, dying before the car crashed. Alicia Villareal is indeed a big latin american singer - or was, as her popularity has been falling due to various contriversies including fights with Selena's family. Here's the blurb on this: Alicia Villareal’s brother, Jose Victor Villareal Esparza, died over the weekend in a car accident.
