Last evening someone else wrote that to PM but seems like he was more interested in those things because he knew Turks concern about the use of that word. Even in some of the official documents we're using Turkiye or Turkiya instead of Turkey for obvious reasons. Last century use of Turkiya was more common. You can say English is my language and thats the way I write it but its the name of my country and I'll write it that way. Russian nationalists have a likely problem too if you're interested search white nationalist forums. Instead of Russian they call themselves Rus.  |

Alright m8 however you say partly you're right too its just a perspective. But keep in mind sometimes countries have more than 1 name just like Britain, United Kingdom etc.Ottoman is the name of the tribe who established that empire. You can find it on the maps too but Ottomans are Turks and Anatolia is called for centuries motherland of Turks. I second many people who have already posted regarding the blatantly misinformative and misleading headers; these are obviously convicted criminals. Now, whether the punishments are "civil" - that's kind of a troublesome question.. but there's nothing glamorous in any capital punishment..
