Instant Death for a Frail 63 Year Old
Wednesday night in Manaus. The 63 year old was crossing the road when he was hit by a car at high speed that failed to stop. A taxi driver that was driving behind stopped to help but said there was nothing he could do. Don't ask me why there's a chip board above his head.... |

Yikes. Very sad. But, considering that the death was instant, I think his relatives can rest their heads easier. I know that this makes a HUGE difference for me, knowing that a loved one didn't suffer if he/she were to meet an untimely demise. |

Re: Instant Death for a Frail 63 Year Old
It was really "the King's language" when we decided to break it off with you. There was a lot of "Declaration of Indepence" verbiage, but we really did it because we found out that, as soon as automobiles were invented, you people were going to call a car's "trunk" the "boot." We just couldn't take it, awfully sorry and all. This traffic death reminds me that every workday, I drive the last few blocks of my commute between a very large medical center and a very large parking garage. In the mornings and afternoons, the streets are packed with nurses and staff members and technicians crossing to the big hospitals. And at least 90% of the women and half the men, I am not joking, are looking down at their stupid cellphones while they're walking. It amazes me that we have as few injuries as we do, in that area. :-( |
