Matt Milos was killed at Gresham Speedbowl in 1934. Witnesses reported that, while competing for the lead of the 35-lap race, Milos looked back over has shoulder to check on his competitors, losing control of his car, which went into a long skid, ending up crashing through the wooden fence in the north turn. The car then rolled and hit a cherry tree, crushing Milos against it. He was dead of a broken neck when attendants reached him.

Warren Tope crashed during a race held in a street circuit in Pontiac, Michigan, called the Wide Track II. He was driving a Can-Am McLaren M8E owned by Gordy Oftedahl of Minneapolis. The car went under a single rail guardrail which lifted up and came back over the front to decapitate him. Tope was the son of a vice-president of Ford Motor Company. I was scheduled to race in that race but some needed parts didn't come in so we didn't go.

Fernando Antônio Mafra Moreira (a.k.a. "Rio *****") did not have a long career. After 2 minor races he got a ride in high powered Ferrari 290 MM for a race at Interlagos. Several people warned him he was not ready but he bragged he would easily win. He may have mixed up the brake pedal with the accelerator which was in the middle and soon cut the car in half on a tree. His body was covered by a sheet and the race went on.

On-topic accidents tend to just not happen as often, and most of the material has been released already. Although, I think there are still some notable accidents of which there are rumours of material having existed, but not made public.
