This thread has kept me entertained for days on end. I'm amazed by the knowledge and passion for racing by all the contributors to this thread. I'm also amazed at how gutsy these drivers are. Not for the faint hearted! Thanks for a brilliant informative read! |

very true - it looks like he might have retro-fitted seat belts to his car, which no doubt went a long way to saving his life in the other goodwood video (at the top of this page), the driver claimed he would never fit them, because they were not original fitment - hence why he was thrown out |

Interesing how wide the monocoque is, compared to current 2015-2016 designs where the structure is narrow and FIA-standard side impact bars protrude from it. Or is that wide area a crushable structure on 1997 Prost?
