Re: Indy/Formula One: Fatal and Non Fatal Crash Photos (Stop Motion, Color, B&W)
Bob Bondurant's massive crash during a 1967 Can Am race at Watkins Glen. The McLaren's steering broke at 150mph, the car hitting a bank and flipping eight times inflicting broken ankles, arm, leg and back injuries to its driver. Bob would return to racing a year later and set up his own racing school. He took part in 9 GP from 1965-66, finishing 4th at Monaco in 1966. |

Terry Hook's heavy crash in a Lola at Lakeside, in Australia, 1980. Terry's car left the track at high speed while battling for the lead, hitting a tyre wall and its driver having to be cut free from the wreck suffering a broken leg. |

Great photo of a dirt track crash from what appears to be from the '50's, maybe 1960's. Hopefully wasn't fatal but looks like is going to hurt... |

Like I said, he was only a few inches away from a "Jayne Mansfield"-moment. Must've rung his bell pretty hard against that counter-weight, which probably caused the worst of his injuries. |

Well, he «survived», as in, he didn't die, but he's not out of the woods yet. Schumacher is techically alive, too.
