Re: Indy/Formula One: Fatal and Non Fatal Crash Photos (Stop Motion, Color, B&W)
You are welcome Im really sorry but I was never into Sprint/Mini Cars The only video (VHS recording from 1985 thanks to my dad) I have of Vogler is the 1985 Indy 500 where he crashed hard at the same time as Tom Sneva I VHS ripped to DVD then to my computer years ago as many crashes as I could find on all my dads tapes and that was one I know I have In fact I saw it online and I knew it was the one I had shared with people 10+ years ago. If you want that I got the best copy im sure And knowing Vogler by watching him race in so many Indy 500s I would have had an interest in that video but the last time I thought about it was so many years ago, and I know about how rare that video is just from listening to the Mini Car fans talk about it as a holy grail back in the day I have some contacts that might have it, I mean somebody in the US had to have taped it, I picture some fat slob on nightshift who is a Sprint Car fanatic, throwing a blank VHS tape at his drunk wife screaming at her to record Thursday Night Thunder, then 20 years later his son hears about it and finds his dads collection of 1,500 VHS tapes next to his even bigger collection of Hustler Magazine up in the attic I will ask around for sure |

Re: Indy/Formula One: Fatal and Non Fatal Crash Photos (Stop Motion, Color, B&W)
I found the picture of the fire marshals and police running away from the driver I was talking about! Eric Forrest-Greene: 1954 Buenos Aires 1000 Here is a small write up Forrest-Green was born in Rosario, Argentine, on 9 October 1903 in a British family. He went to school in England where he raced a Bentley. Later he returned to Argentine where he became the importer of Rolls Royce, Bentley and Jowett and raced sporadically until the war winning the 1928 Rafaela 500 miles race. His Buenos Aires garage housed the cars of the British drivers that came to Argentina for the early post WWII Temporadas. He used to entertain the foreign drivers that invariantly acknowledged his and his wife Dora’s hospitality. In 1952 he acted as go-between BRM and Fangio, being able to make Gonzalez part of the package. Cooper team manager for the 1953 Argentinian GP, he wanted to resume racing and was able to drive an Aston-Martin in the 1954 Buenos Aires 1000 kms sports car race. Sadly his car burst in flames after leaving the road early in the race; nobody helped him to extinguish the fire from his clothes and he did not survive the burns, dying 24 hours later. |

Re: Indy/Formula One: Fatal and Non Fatal Crash Photos (Stop Motion, Color, B&W)
that picture is just unbelivable..... it envokes feelings of dispare (sp) and helplessness for Forrest-Green and a feeling of maddening anger directed at the marshals and police... a very strong picture..

Re: Indy/Formula One: Fatal and Non Fatal Crash Photos (Stop Motion, Color, B&W)
Do you have any pictures from Spain, I think it was 1969.. There was a crash with Graham Hill and Jochen Rindt.. I have only seen one photo from that one and I think it was of Graham sitting in his car just as it hits the railguard- The whole front of the car has disintegrated and Grahams body is fully exposed in the front of the car while it is in mid air...

There are some earlier in the thread, Rindt's car nearly going over the guard rail. He died in a practise crash at Monza 1970. In that crash the front of the Lotus was ripped off, I'll pop a few pictures on.
