Re: Indy/Formula One: Fatal and Non Fatal Crash Photos (Stop Motion, Color, B&W)
Jody Scheckter (Wolf) and John Watson (Brabham) touched while dicing for second place on lap 29 of the Swedish GP in 1977, Jody retired on the spot while John pitted for repairs and finished 5th. 1977 was the first year for the Wolf team with a single car for Scheckter, they won their first race and went on to win another two and finish runner-up in the Championship. 1978 was not as successful with no wins. James Hunt joined in 1979 as Jody went to Ferrari and won the Championship, but James retired halfway through the year and the team were sold to Emerson Fittipaldi's F1 concern, Fittipaldi Automotive at the end of the season. |

Pedro Rodríguez BRM breaks its suspension on lap 66 of the US GP 1968 and looks as if its going to twist itself in two... Pedro had a second and two thirds during the year scoring eighteen points, finishing sixth in the drivers championship, he also won Le Mans with Lucien Bianchi in a John Wyer Ford GT40. |

Pedro again, this time Monaco in 1968 and a heavy crash at the Mirabeau on lap 16. Pedro thought it was due to a mechanical failure, possibly a broken driveshaft cutting a break line.

Clay Regazzoni spun his Ferrari 312B late on in the very wet Dutch GP in 1971, even with this front end damage he managed to finish third. His team mate Jacky Ickx won after a great battle with Pedro Rodriguez BRM.

The wrecked Penske Racing Porsche 917-10K of Mark Donohue after a huge crash during testing at Road Atlanta in 1972. The rear bodywork flew off of the car at 150mph, the car become airbourne and flipped multiple times tearing off the whole front section and leaving Mark's legs dangling out of the car, still strapped into the seat. Mark was very lucky to only suffer a broken leg and was well enough to return for the final three races, winning at Edmonton and finishing fourth in the Championship his team mate George Follmer won the title.

Re: Indy/Formula One: Fatal and Non Fatal Crash Photos (Stop Motion, Color, B&W)
The Ensign N179, an F1 car that seemingly fell from the ugly tree hitting every branch on the way down... The N179 was used during the 1979 season with a best result of 13th, its only finish, at the British GP driven by Patrick Gaillard. The car took part in elleven GP's in '79, failing to qualify for seven of them and retiring from three others. These photo's are of the car at the opening GP of the season at South Africa, driven by Derek Daly and failing to qualify. The bizarre front-mounted radiators which make the N179 so uneasy on the eye were soon moved to the sidepods, but it didn't make much difference to the cars basic lack of pace. |

Italian Talk Show about the death of Tom Pryce Some horrific unedited aftermath footage, as well as a wider screen shot where on the right hand side you can see Van Vureen turning to side trying to avoid impact that you cant see on other versions of the behind angle shot |

Original post from page 46. A photo of the burning wreckage from a newspaper of the time as well as a couple of other pictures of the ill-fated RA302, also the biggest image of the crash that I've seen prior to Jo's body being dragged from the fire. |
