Re: Indy/Formula One: Fatal and Non Fatal Crash Photos (Stop Motion, Color, B&W)
RE: Mr Ecclestone's grip on F1. The upcoming documentary 1: Life at the limit (already out in USA) has a little snippet on how this happened. Prior to the 76 showdown between Hunt & Lauda at Fuji, Ecclestone bought all the worldwide TV rights for $1million, he offered each of the 10 teams a chance to buy in for $100k. They ALL refused. Bernie went to the TV companies and said "Sure, you can show the 76 Japanese GP, and I'll give you the F1 rights for the next 4 years as well..... here's the price and you'll show every grand prix!". Hence the explosion in coverage, sponsorship, and Bernie's wallet. He obviously is a smart guy, but I think his "70's" methods may be catching up to him |

Bottom line....... Ecclestone is a lame Whenever I see him on speaking on TV I mute his real voice in my head and then imagine him speaking just like Robin Leach on "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous" |

Hopefully Bernie will take his net worth of $3.8 billion and bugger off....he's long outstayed his welcome as far as I'm concerned.

That car is so tight behind Salt and the way it reacts after Walther gets airbourne would have me put money on it having tagged him. Am i right in thinking Salt passed away recently? Apologies for the random posts, just recently joined the thread and am rolling thro the back catalogue, hopefully i'll have some new stuff to contribute once I've sorted my tech shit out.

Here are some Newspaper scans I came across in an old file of the Don MacTavish fatal crash Some brutal images, amazing to think that back in 1969 newspapers had no qualms about printing horrific photos of a person in death |
