Post from page 231. A new picture of Brian Redman's crash at the Belgian GP 1968. The Cooper flew off the track, just missing a marshalls post. Without the harness he was wearing it is unlikely Redman would have survived. |

Re: Indy/Formula One: Fatal and Non Fatal Crash Photos (Stop Motion, Color, B&W)
re skimp hersey, same pics, maybe even same mag. Same effect on a young race fan. Been searching the net for ages looking for them but knew no details, seemed to recall the drivers name was skip ad it was a porsche 356. I joined this site cos i thought they'd be here! I may have imagined but was there another pic of him walking away with just his white boxers left unburned?

Re: Indy/Formula One: Fatal and Non Fatal Crash Photos (Stop Motion, Color, B&W)
I believe he's asking if there are any additional pictures to the one earlier in this thread of the unfortunate Mr Hershey sitting in the flames after his accident. I've only ever seen the one, which was enough. But if our resident wizards have something up their sleeves, then by all means throw them out here. |

Re: Indy/Formula One: Fatal and Non Fatal Crash Photos (Stop Motion, Color, B&W)
Hi fortythree. I’m not 100% sure what you are asking If you are asking for more photographs available for NASCAR's 1st fatality Skimp Hersey You may be able to resume your search for more photographs if you decide to join Atlanta newspapers archive site online. • The photographer who took the famous five photo montage of Hersey’s accident and subsequent immolation entitled "Flaming Horror at Lakewood Speedway" June 12, 1950 edition, Gene Crumbley was the staff photograher Acme Telephoto - Photographer If on the other hand are you asking for Porsche 356 photographs of a driver who walked away from an accident, wearing his white boxer shorts? Do you have any idea the year of racing? Was it a vintage race meeting or a race held in 1948 to 1965? |
