Re: Indy/Formula One: Fatal and Non Fatal Crash Photos (Stop Motion, Color, B&W)
Thank you Gboy, you answered the question perfectly I have nothing really to add except the crashes we were talking about were 70s, 80s, and early to mid 90s Most of the crashes Gboy mentioned are in the video that I just posted (im sure everyone has already watched, just a heads up) Im working on a 1970s video as I type that is just like the 80s/90s vid I did yesterday But until thats finished I will get some pics going |

Re: Indy/Formula One: Fatal and Non Fatal Crash Photos (Stop Motion, Color, B&W)
I remember the first time I saw it on TV I knew he was dead before the Sportscaster even said it was a fatal accident It was horrible Then the next day Senna dies I started losing interest after that, and slowly stopped watching and caring I only held on to the memories and only wanted to talk racing if it was before 1994 |

Crazy photos! Wow! Thanks. Good luck getting them back out "there" in video format. Any others that you have of horrible accidents, please post them. People want to know the truth. Even if it is horribly painful. |

Thank you(!!) for that information. Very informative. You mentioned up to the "mid 90's"... are the cars constructed better (safer) now? Again, I don't know enough about them to know any better. Thanks, in advance, for any info. |

Re: Indy/Formula One: Fatal and Non Fatal Crash Photos (Stop Motion, Color, B&W)
There have been many advances since I would say more early mid like 93-94, right after Senna and Ratzenberger died, the HANS Device http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HANS_device blew up and F-1, Indy, etc adapted it If Ratzy had been wearing a HANS he most likely would have survived as he suffered a Basilar Skull Fracture (thats what the HANS prevents) So many drivers have died of a BSF and HANS had reduced that number More protective roll cages, better fire suits, bettere frames made of better alloys, better break away engine blocks Stuff that was around back in the day but over time has been improved |

Im starting to find more screen shot studies I did years ago, trying to get a large screenshot with out destroying the resolution. These obviously are low quality, but it was the best I could do at the time Fire Marshal Jansen Van Vuuren: Kyalami 1977 |
