(Page 75) A couple more to add to this post, both show the huge damage to the Ford GT40 and the second one shows poor Walt trapped in the car and being cut out of the wreck. He died of his injuries. |

Sébastien Enjolras fatal crash at Le Mans 1997. At 12:40 pm, part of the rear bodywork of Enjolras's Welter Racing WM LM97 - Peugeot came loose at Arnage, causing the car to go airborne over the safety barriers. The car overturned and exploded in flames following impact, killing Enjolras instantly.

Juho Hänninen's Skoda left the road during the 2012 Sanremo rally, part of the IRC and managed to land on what looks like an old shed...

Turi Tamás and Imre Toth demolish their Impreza S12B at the Czech, Alianz Pécs Rally 2009. Both somehow managed to walk away with minor injuries.

The 1981 World Rally Champion, Ari Vatanen in his Ford Escort during the Ivory Coast Rally of that year. He still managed to limp the car to the end and finish 9th.

Jean Claude Andruet's amazing Ferrari 308 in which he finished 2nd overall on the 1982 Tour of Corsica and 2nd in the 1981 European Rally Championship. This is the Monte in '82 and Andruet hit a bridge retiring on the spot. |

Jean Claude Andruet again, this time at the Monte in 1986, driving the bizarre looking Citroen BX 4TC Group B rally car. The BX had developed a misfire and launched itself off the road on stage 7. Jean managed to finish 6th at the Swedish rally in the beast which was the only finish the car had in the Championship prior to Citroen pulling out later in the year. |
