Nigel Mansell went for the gap at the start of the Detroit GP in 1984 but the gap closed and a number of cars, including the 1983 World Champion, Nelson Piquet's Brabham - BMW were wrecked.

Len Sutton's USAC Indycar crash at Milwakee... Len raced in the premier class from 1955 to 1965, with 76 career starts, 43 top ten finishes, and 3 victories also finishing second in the 1962 Indy 500. |

Ludovico Scarfiotti crashed out of the 1966 Le Mans 24 hours in his Ferrari 330PS after he was collected by the number 53 Matra-BRM that was reversing back onto the track after going off. Winner of the 1966 Italian GP, 1962 European Hillclimb Championship and winner of the 1963 Le Mans 24 hours for Ferrari. |

Salt Walther 1973 Indy 500 Super extended footage In fact its so extended im surprised that the cameraman didnt follow him to the hospital Walthers crash and injuries are no laughing matter at all. He is lucky to have survived and I just hope his pain is manageable all these years later |

Just like the USAC and Indy Car compilations that I found in a random unnamed folder I found a subfolder of unamed Drag Racing crashes I picked out the hardest hits Again I have not researched or even tried to guess who, what, where, why and when |

The way it snaps his head and torso when the car rolls back over is CRAZY. I replayed it like 20 times... No other way a racer would want to go though! Godspeed!!!
