Cyd William's huge crash during practice at the International Trophy at Oulton Park 1971. Looks like he was lucky to walk away from his battered F1 March 701.

Sascha Ickenroth's horrible accident at Zandvoort in the 2000 German Formula Ford series when after flipping his car he was hit by another. He suffered terrible head injuries and was at one point declared clinically dead but made a full recovery in the end.

A couple of flips for Danish driver Thorkild Thyrring, the first at Thruxton in a F3 Ralt.
The second is a spectacular roll at Ring Djursland in 1974 during an FF race.

Later in his career Thorkild went into Sportcar Racing and Touring Cars, winning three British GT Championship titles between 1993 and 1995.

Hans Stuck and Mario Andretti come together during the Italian GP at Monza in 1976.

Looks like the first picture is a lap or so before the second. Appears to be a very heated debate between the drivers afterwards...

Simon Parker's car lost a wheel during a Danish FF race at Padborg Park, he went through a gravel trap, over the barrier and onto a TV camera stand. No one was injured.

George Lawton's fatal crash at Roskilde Ring in the 1960 F2 race.

Italian Giovanni Salvatti lost his life in this impact with the armco at the Tarumã track in Brazil 1971 during an F2 race. He was battling with Wilson Fittipaldi for 4th when he locked his breaks up and speared off into the barrier which inflicted fatal injuries.
