Most of them do have a wax mask on the face, others are simply mummies. Most were eviscerated which explains the lack of deep decomposition. Arsenic was applied to the skin in most cases, as this was considered simply "hygienic" at the time and would not affect claims of incorruptability. There are a couple of web sites on this topic.

I saw the same thing happened to a Muslim's body too so dont connect it to Catholic Saints or Christianity

I think I read somewhere that some of them are preserved like that because where they were interred had a high lead content..I can't remember though.
