Incorrupt Bodies (Catholic Saints)
Yes, I am aware that a lot of these look like wax, but it's interesting to see how the bodies look after some time. Apparently the church has put masks on the faces. Saint Frances Xavier Cabrini: Saint Frances Cabrini Shrine Chapel- Manhattan,New York, USA ![]() St. Bernadette Soubirous: Chapel of Saint Bernadette at the motherhouse in Nevers ![]() Saint Zita: Basilica di San Frediano in Lucca, Italy ![]() Sister María de Ágreda: Monastery of La Concepción- Ágreda, Spain (She's at the bottom) ![]() Saint Virginia Centurione Bracelli: ![]() Note: Being raised Catholic, this was heavily debated, as it is trying to materialize religion. I think the church tried too hard to make them look alive- adding a wax mask, or claiming, "the skeleton was perfectly preserved!" ETA: St. Maria Gorretti: The Basilica at Nettuno She REALLY looks like wax. ![]() Saint Silvan- Church of St. Blaise at Dubrovnik, Croatia He died in the 4th century. It's outstanding. ![]() |
