I don't have any problem with taking a pic of the dearly departed ( we have a couple of my grands taken in the 70s) & while I personally wouldn't do so, even taking a selfie with the deceased is within reason. I don't condone the mugging at the camera while posing with them, then sharing it with the internet. It just seems disrespectful and in very bad taste.

I agree. Do it with respect sans Snapchat filter and it’s all good but when they try to get “cute” with it, that’s too much.

Fully agree with you Dahlia Neda! Technology like smartphones and the infernet are indeed screwing up today's youngsters. If my computer wouldn't be broken beyond repair and I'd have had the money to get a new one I would have thrown my smartphone out long ago. It's an addicting device and all the selfie addicted people just show how narcissistic the next generation is/might become.

I'd be damn near shocked to death if Twitter and/or Snapchat are still around in 10 years. They're losing their novelty, and this latest generation (folks born after 2010 or so) may as well come of age in a Robocop-esque world. They'll evolve and mature in correspondence with technology.
That's my prediction. I wouldn't worry about them yet
