Nice additions and glad to hear you liked my thread. The eighth picture however is a fake. The body is a prop from Paramount Studios in California.

Re: Inappropriate Funeral Photos Take 2!
Things that are "shocking" to some people are anything but to others. It is largely cultural. While I agree that some of the above photos are, to put it mildly, tacky, the general practice of taking coffin photos is (or has been) common in some cultures/regions. In fact it was a not uncommon practice in the USA through the first half of the 20th century. I still have the funeral home photo of my grandmother which was taken in the 1940's - I don't remember it first hand since I was only 3 at the time.

Re: Inappropriate Funeral Photos Take 2!
It could be related to how more and more people are being exposed to the internet at a younger age when they haven't developed much of a moral compass. Most people posting funeral selfies probably have some sort of personality disorder. I know people that post selfies every few hour. I can't imagine what'll happen with the generation that are using smartphones from infancy.

Spot on! I'm glad that I was well into my 20s when mobile phones were becoming commonplace. I think that 80s kids are the last generation to have any morals!
