This is interesting, because as far as I know, Glock 17 is chambered for 9 x 19 mm ammunition. 9 x 21 mm is a different cartridge - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/9%C3%9721mm

Maybe 9 mm x 21 refers to something else in this case?

The Glock pistol, mod. 17 "5180" is chambered , cal. 9 x 21 mm. not 9 mm. Parabellum.
