Timothy Treadwell and Amie Huguenard were killed in Katmai National Park October 6, 2003 by Quincy a older Kodiak or as we call the Brown and this pic you are showing is not of Tim Treadwell who was mostly consumed with the exception of his head connected to a small piece of spine and his right arm and hand were found nearby with his wrist watch still attached.. The pic you have here is of Craig Dahl age 26 this death took place on May 17, 1998 He was killed in the Two Medicine area Glacier National park by Grizzly(brown)..Just to help ya out.. |

I was involved in a discussion on this 7-8 years ago on a large firearms site. The half eaten man was called to question almost immediately by F&G members in Alaska. They made two points. One, bear usually eat bone and all not chew around it and two the plants in the picture were not native to Alaska. Comments were made plants looked tropical or sub tropical. Article was later discovered claiming this was a tiger attack from India. If I find more info I'll post. wolfie |
