Re: Hungry Bear
Bears and other wild animals are just doing their thing same as anyone else. Bears play a important role in keeping scores of other plant and animal populations in check so we don't get overwhelmed. Sure they are dangerous, but only if you are on their territory. The stupid thing is, all other plants and animals in the world have natural predators to prevent overpopulation, humans don't. So the result is humans have had to cut in to more and more wild animal territory to make room for our ever growing population. But in doing so they run the risk of fatalities by animals. It's stupid to get all pissy about animals killing people when it is just the (much needed)natural order of things being applied to humans. Sure it's sad and all, but you can't let your initial emotions over the subject to blind you to the bigger picture. The more humans that die = the more space our greedy race can have without destroying every shred of natural resources the planet has to offer. |

Re: Hungry Bear
Bears know nothing but violence? How about you consider the fact that humans systematically slaughter 53,000,000,000 land animals alone each year just for food. That number doesn't even account for any of those that are tortured and killed for fur, trophies, and by vivisectionists. It also doesn't include any sea animals at all. Seems pretty obvious to me that humans are the most violent animals on this planet. You must think so too if you're predicting them exterminating a whole evolutionary family. You're probably right though. Humanity does cause the extinction of a species about every 20 minutes. That's ok though ... it only takes a few thousand to a few million years for a new species to form. |
