Not real sure this is true, but I've been told it has something to do with getting credit in the afterlife. Again, I've been told that in certain parts of Asia, these ambulance/coroner groups are made up of volunteers. These volunteers get extra heavenly credit for helping out dead folks and their families. The more gruesome and nasty the death, the more heavenly credit. If I'm full of shit on this someone please set me straight.
