Re: Heroin Overdose & Opioid Related Deaths from the United States [Big Collection]

I was prescribed oxycodone in 1981 and refused to take it after the first pill.

It made me feel like I was speeding. It made me grit my teeth and I wanted to keep them.

As far as organ donations, one of my late three younger brothers, all alcoholics, was a donor. They took skin and his corneas.

It´s so sad to see the babies by their parents´ graves and coffins.

To those of you in recovery, I wish you all the best and continued success in your sobriety. XX

Re: Heroin Overdose & Opioid Related Deaths from the United States [Big Collection]

Holy fuck balls these arguments make me wanna claw my eyes out.
I lost my best friend to heroin. No he's not dead he's just lost, not the same person and probably never will be. He had no trauma, no prescriptions, no horrible upbringing. He shared a house with his brother, made $80k a year had a brand new truck, sexy girlfriend, 2 4wheelers and an RV.
In one year he lost all of it. Gf left, truck got impounded sold the atv's got kicked out, lost his job and was sleeping in a Walmart parking lot. To this day he drives a $400 honda and sleeps at his sister's house. Then there's my brother in law. He's been kicked out of every family members house, friends house and outhouse. Stole $1500 from me and my car. Luckily I recovered the car And sent him to jail for 6months. He got out, found out his girl was pregnant and stayed clean till she was born then stole his girls pain meds, relapsed and showed up at my house meth'd out like mother fucker. He went back to jail for another 6. Got out and was told if he touched drugs again he'd NEVER see his again, or his girl friend. Guess what happened 2 weeks later he went to prison for 6years and his girl filed a no contact order. Its not a fucking disease. It's a choice. The moment you dial that number, that's a concious choice, the moment you point your car toward fckn Tug's house, that's a choice. Walking to the door is a conscious effort. Sitting down, lighting up, taking the hit. Don't fcking say "its beyond their control", "it's a disease," that's weak, an excuse. That attitude is what kills people. Fckn mic drop

I think the world should see this thread, the beginnings and ends of an addict, right to the ground. Almost poetic. Could be a wake up call for many. Unfortunately for them the only way to guit was in death

6 years ago a dr had me on Fentanyl patches for pain, so glad I stopped using them and all script pain meds. Choose life.

There is something weird to me about all these posed grieving photos with mourners and the caskets and stuff. Guess I just don’t understand the purpose
