Re: Heroin Overdose & Opioid Related Deaths from the United States [Big Collection]

Thats right fucked up man, I live in Fl so shit is fucked here, I had an experience with a person overdosing and nearly dying mid last year around August.

My sister was using the restroom in a building when the lady in the stall next to her went limp and fell to the ground needle in her arm lol My sister crawled under the stall when she realized she was totally out of it, to her credit and unlocked the stall and ran out to get me and dial the cops, my sister who is very much aware of drugs thanks to youtube videos and once she saw the needle it was kinda obvious what had happened I was vaping outside the front of the store waiting on her cause she forgot to give me the car keys before using the restroom XD

and anyway I am a prepper and overall crazy person so I have suboxone I both use recreationally and also have both forms of rescue spray and strip hoping to god my lil sis wasn't making this shit up lmao but she fucking wasnt dude and I didn't like rushing into the ladies restroom but my sis had unlocked her stall door and literally nobody had entered the restroom even after my sister came out frantically lmao and I was literally begging god as I was running that somebody else please be in the bathroom too and don't make me do this solo while my sis just bailed and stayed outside calling 911

But me frantically rushing in with a giant bag with a medic symbol on it finally got SOMEBODYS attention not that I was expecting anyone else in walmart to do something lmao

But I found her still slumped over the toilet thankfully pants up lmao but she was completely out of it but thankfully didn't have spit and foam and everything everywhere, she was unconscious but it wasn't a nightmare scenario with zero breathing and airways clogged with puke, drugs aren't cool kids, and so I quickly administered both shots of Nalaxone in the nose and thank fucking god thats when a female police officer ran in the door, somebody apparently did call the police when I ran into the bathroom with a giant bag I don't really know if they did but that would've been funny, she initially thought I was some kind of medic because I had gloves on, but I'm just that crazy enough to have disposable gloves ready in my car toolkit I really am frightened of fentanyl and it scares me so much I took the time to put that shit on before I touched her

I was frightened because she didn't 'come-to' quickly but seconds after I administered the second dose the female officer came in the doorway I was like FINALLY A WITNESS lmao it wasn't the first time I've administered to somebody that's overdosed, but it was the first time I've ever done it to somebody clearly dying and my heart was like 200bpm but the female officer was the coolest ever and believed me when I quickly said she's a overdose victim IDK what from but Suboxone works for opioids and meth too I think, or least I've seen it given to meth OD victims

I was scared to touch the needle so it actually stayed in her arm, maybe she shoved it in deeper when she slumped over IDK but fentanyl can be like UBER powerful and I saw this cop almost die from just being near some and inhaling a couple particles so I was trying to keep my distance, fucking shit is whack man

FOR THE RECORD I believe that OD victims are indeed VICTIMS as unless stated otherwise as suicide, they are a victim of unintended consequences. Also I didn't want her name and I didn't want my fucking name out there, so I was like please no names exchanged even though actually my sister should be given the credit as she had enough sense to recognize what happen and alert someone

The girl is probably fucking dead overdosed again at this point but maybe she changed her life you never know I have to laugh a lot because of the insanity of some situations

ITS FLORIDA YOU KNOW WHAT YOU SIGNED UP FOR but not me I was born here :(
Thank you. You saved her life

Are you really a doctor?
This freak isn't a doctor because no doctor would say the horrible things this fuck did. If he is by a slim chance a doctor, I hope he gets his license taken away. He's full of shit and wouldn't let my worst enemy go to this fuck.

Re: Heroin Overdose & Opioid Related Deaths from the United States [Big Collection]

It is EASY to not die of a drug overdose…

DONT TAKE HARD DRUGS.
DO NOT EVER TRY THEM.

It is so simple.

Yet armies of people make excuses for those that DO try them, use them, then abuse them.

JUST. DONT. USE. DRUGS.
NO. FUCKING. EXCUSES.

It is VERY simple.
No it's not that simple. I was on hard drugs given to me by my doctor when I was 14. I was an addict before I knew what the word meant. One day you will love someone touched by this disease and what will you say then? For God sake, have you heard the word empathy? Look it up

I see a lot of dead Mayo Monkeys here. Nothing of value was lost
And you know what I see? A snake in the grass. I will take 100 drug addicts over a skank anyday.

Re: Heroin Overdose & Opioid Related Deaths from the United States [Big Collection]

A 27 year old man from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania passed away as a result of a heroin overdose.
I agree with your post and I'm so sorry for your loss. I know everyone say go to rehab. But that doesn't work for everyone. I did the rehab thing. I couldn't stay clean. I went to rehab in 1984 and I tried to stay clean until 2001. It was Am I going to die loaded? I walked into the Methadone Clinic on Feb1, 2001.at 47 years old. I shot dope for the last time in July 2002. There are many paths to recovery..

Re: Heroin Overdose & Opioid Related Deaths from the United States [Big Collection]

It's not always so black and white. I became an opiate addict in 1970 at the age of 14. My doctor gave me Narcotics for menstrual cramps. I was an addict before I knew what an addict was. I got cut off in 1979 and I used heroin everyday from 1970 until 2002. I tried 12 steps and it didn't work for me. God knows I tried. On Feb 1, 2001 after too many ODs, I walked into the Methadone clinic. I was 47 years old so I knew it was going to be a life long commitment. I used heroin while on Methadone until July 1, 2002. That was the day that I saw my best friend in her coffin from a Heroin overdose. I didn't grow up wanting to be a junkie, I wanted to be a Archeologist. I never graduated. When I was using, there was no such thing as lab made Fentanyl, and Pharmaceutical Fentanyl was not sought out. That's probably why I'm still alive. I just want to say that addiction is a disease, it's not the Devil, it's not a moral shortcoming. It's a fatal disease that tells us we aren't sick. It's fatal, but cam be treated, through abstinence 12 step programs, or with Suboxone and or Methadone. I use Methadone. There is not one way to beat this. And it's no one's fault. I come from an upper middle class family. My dad had his o we n business and Mt mom was a homemaker. It wasn't anyone's fault. Some people say it was my doctors fault because I was so young, but I don't ba m e him. Parents, family and friends, Narcan is free, I have Narcan with me because if I see someone ODing, they aren't going to die, not on my watch. Please carry this lifesaving medication on you everywhere you go. I'm so sorry for the thousands of addicts who died and for the families and friends. Remember, as long as a person is alive, there is hope

I had menstrual cramps from when I was 11 to when I had an IUD put in when I was 22. Sought help from doctors for menstrual pain when I was 16 and 18, was told to "take some Tylenol." Finally diagnosed with PCOS at 20 and given birth control pills. It's disgusting that doctors refused to treat the root cause of my pain at a younger age because they thought my treatment would have made me a "slut." I'm queer and wasn't even attracted to men during that time, much less having sex with them, and would not have thought that hormonal birth control would be life-improving medication. If I had resorted to opioids (and that would have been easy because my dad was a pill junkie and someone from my high school OD'd on opioids when I was 17) I would have become an addict. Thankfully by the time I was injected with fentanyl for an unrelated surgery 3 years ago I was well aware of the opioid crisis and was careful not to fall into dependency and all that could come after.

I don’t know how I didn’t see this earlier. It was tragic and heartbreaking, but put together extraordinarily well. I think you should find a filmmaker and release this to the masses. The stories are so gripping, and now that fentanyl is so bad in the states, this should be required viewing for all middle/high school students.

Re: Heroin Overdose & Opioid Related Deaths from the United States [Big Collection]

Great thread.

Just so damn sad that so many young people have chosen the wrong life to lead + their families have suffered immensely for it.
What a horrible thing to say. It's called Empathy. Try it sometime

Re: Heroin Overdose & Opioid Related Deaths from the United States [Big Collection]

Opioid addiction is really sad. It hijacks your endorphins so your body stops producing them. Thus, addicts go through something that feels like the flu at best, and like they're dying at worst. And you can't sleep it off. Seriously, anyone who kicks opioids is a superhero in my opinion
