I’m looking for exhumation pictures from either the UK or USA of preferably burials from 20th - 21st century. I am interested in how the human corpse decays and looks when buried underground in soil and how long the decomposition process takes after traditional burial in a coffin/casket depending on weather conditions. Any pictures or websites would be helpful, thanks.

Gravedigger on here posted some, there are pictures and some videos posted by several contributors if you search. He has done exhumations, he said one of them was so stinky, even flies wouldn't go near the stinky casket juice IIRC.

To answer your question, bodies buried in the ground depend a whole lot on environment, embalming methods and if water gets inside the casket. Some bodies buried 40+ years ago look like they were buried yesterday, while many bodies buried a few or 10 years look like in the movie "Evil Dead 2" or Poltergeist. If they are in a mausoleum above ground, forget about it, they usually get eaten by phorid flies (spelling?) and the results are grotesque.
