I'm a tad curious about where her second flip-flop is at. I can see one right behind her left foot, right next to the puddle of urine. But I don't see the right sandal anywhere in the photo or the video. Oh well, maybe it's lost in the glare of the light.

I put the video through an AI transcription service to find out what the guy was saying, but about the only relevant info he mentioned was that her first name was Geisa, and that she hanged herself from a mango tree.

Student Swathi was found hanging from the ceiling fan in one of her classrooms at the girl's school she attended.

Her instructors said she was a high-performing student, but stressed. One of her roommates at the school hostel said that Swati had gotten up and gotten dressed, then said she was going to the bathroom at 6:30 in the morning. Her body was discovered hanging in the classroom by the teacher about an hour later.

As is typical in the sub-continent, Swati's family insists that she was 'happy and successful' and would never commit suicide. They claim she was surely murdered elsewhere and the body hanged to stage a suicide.

The police determined that suicide was most likely but opened an investigation to make sure.

No hanging photos, but we do have antemortems, as well as cut-down and scene photos.

In my armchair investigative capacity, I gotta say that the scene looks pretty clear to me. The fan was just above and to the right of the desk. She pretty obviously tied the scarf to the fan, stood on the desk, and then stepped off. There is even a very obvious puddle of urine directly below the fan, next to the desk where she would have emptied her bladder while strangling in the noose.

Thanks to TheCruxofBag for reminding me that I had forgotten to post this set last week when it occurred.

18 year old student Anisa was found in a partial suspension hanging in her hostel room by a friend one morning. She had been having trouble with a breakup.

Her parents insisted that she was murdered, because when they got the body for the funeral, her tongue was not protruding and she had bruises on her body and peeling skin. Both of which were likely present because they only RECEIVED the body several days after the death. They were also upset when they saw the video below and the girl's head was facing upwards in the noose instead of down.

The police and forensic investigation ruled it a suicide. Her body had no signs of violence aside from the noose and they noted the typical indications of hanging, that her tongue was bitten between her teeth and the ligature mark matched the noose. They also remarked that urine was on the floor below her and that her shorts and undergarments were soiled with urine and feces.

Student hanged herself in South Luwuk, Indonesia this weekend.

She caught her boyfriend with another girl and freaked out. Sent a WA message of herself with the noose on to all of her friends and told them goodbye.
Several of them called the police and immediately left to try to reach her home in time to save her, but by the time they arrived, she was already dead.

Head Investigator AKP Tio Tondy made the following statements to the press about the scene:

"There were no signs of criminal activity at the scene, no violence."

He went on to explain that there was some blood at the scene, because the decedent, Dewi, had bitten her tongue very hard while strangling. The only other sign of injury on her body was the ligature mark.

Tondy explained that the decedent had stacked up some bricks to a height of 24 centimeters, then stood on them to tie a green 'Japanese rope' to the ventilation pipe in front of/above the doorway. She then kicked the bricks over and hanged herself just inside the doorway to a store room.

He verified that the ligature mark matched the rope and that her tongue was lacerated from her front teeth. He said that bloody saliva was present on her shirt and also that she had lost bladder control, with urine being found on her pants and on the floor in front of the doorway.

I have and am including a video, though the poster who shared it placed some big goofy graphic across the viewing area, so it is a bit tough to see half of what is going on.

In Mauranipur, Uttar Pradesh state, India, a couple were found hanging from a ceiling fan in a hotel room. The woman - 20-year-old Manisha - was having a relationship with the 22-year-old man, Rahul Ahirwar, but her father, unaware of the relationship, had arranged a marriage with someone else.

This happened in India, so perhaps inevitably, Manisha's father claimed that his daughter was murdered. He pointed out that Manisha was kneeling on the bed, whilst Rahul was not, so he has demanded a full police investigation.
